LAMA LHANANG RINPOCHE WILL LEAD THE FIRE PUJA FOR WORLD PEACE at
DOCKWEILER STATE BEACH, CA.
This is a peaceful ceremony intended to help those who are suffering.
DIRECTIONS: Take 405 to the 105 Imperial Highway West towards the
ocean. Dockweiler Beach is at the end of Imperial Highway on Vista
del Mar. Parking : $5.00. There is also free street parking.
IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE FIRE PUJA, RINPOCHE WILL LEAD A FISH RELEASE
IN MARINA DEL REY ON SATURDAY APRIL 26, 2008 AT APPROX 11:30 A.M.
In Tibetan Buddhism, the practice of live release -- buying the life
of beings that would otherwise meet with imminent death -- reflects
the core principle of karma, or cause and effect. By ransoming
another's life and giving that being another chance to live longer,
those participating and sponsoring the live release generate merit and
longevity for themselves and those to whom the ceremony is dedicated.
Everyone is welcome to donate toward the live fish release by
purchasing fish at the bait shop.
LOCATION OF MARINA DEL REY FISH RELEASE: Sportsfishing at Dock 32 –
Tel: 310-822-DOCK (In Fisherman's Village at 13723 Fiji Way, Marina
Del Rey)
DIRECTIONS FROM DOCKWEILER: Go N on Vista Del Mar for 1.3 miles; Go
right onto Culver Blvd for 1.6 miles; Go right on ramp to CA-1
(Lincoln Blvd) for 0.2 miles; Continue onto CA-1 (Lincoln Blvd) for
0.3 miles. Turn left onto Fiji Way -- You're at Fisherman's Village!
Enter the last driveway on the right.
